This past weekend we took a trip to Slovenia, which is a little country that used to be a part of Yugoslovia. It was absolutely amazing. We took an all day adventure that took us all around the country. We hiked a bunch of trails. The mountains and scenery was gorgeous! There were several waterfalls that we got to check out. To get to one of them, we had to climb up the side of this mountain and all we had to hang onto was a thick cable that was bolted into the side of the mountain. But we made it all the way up. And the view was amazing! I've got some great pictures from all of it! Looking back, it probably wasn't the best idea to stretch out with one arm on the cable and the other holding my camera taking pictures. But we all made it. When we got back down, there was a little lunch place and the tour guides bought us all a shot of blueberry schnapps. It went down a little bit like Robitussin cough syrup, but it was ok. The water and the river was crystal clear. I've never seen water that beautiful before. And it was freezing cold! There was a bridge that we crossed that had a platform where you could jump off. And of course, we did. The bridge was about 45ft. up. It was a really sweet jump. The scariest part was hitting the water that was about 55 degrees! It made for a long swim back to shore, but I've never swam so fast in my life. But what a rush! Once we finished up our day, we had to take a train back to the place where we were staying and we actually drove the van onto the train. It was like a train ferry. The whole experience was so awesome. Check out the pictures!
